Children of the corn

That is how I like to refer to the children I watch all day. But for some strange reason my boss now thinks its best for me to work with toddlers from 8am- 3 pm and then with school age kids for the rest of the day. You would think thats not that big of a deal since it is my job, but i'm not too terribly excited about it. With in the first week of working there I decided I would work in any class but Tod 1, and now I have the joy of being in there the majority of the day. Maybe I should ask for a raise, I mean I have been there for a month. Is it still to soon?

Any who, one of the perks of working with young children is I get to make awesome crafts, but since I am no longer under the age of 10 I can't give it to my parents so my wonderful husband (and Timber) get all of the wonderful things I make.

This is us getting ready for our family picture. I made all 3 of us foam visors with our names on them.

It seems I am the only one who likes/appreciates all my hard work and creativity.

And last but not least for those of you who voted on our pole , I am crazy and what better way to show it than making matching braclets for me and Timber.

Fam is the best

Almost half of my family has already come and visited us.
Heidi and Caleb came up this last weekend to visit the washingtonian Hammers which was so much fun and such perfect timing. Rachel and I have been dealing with alot of change in our lives so it was perfect timing to have Heidi and Caleb come up and basically take us on vacation from life for a little while.
They arrived on friday night, where we went to enjoy some local dutch food, we got there at 7:40 and they close at 8. so we barely made it, yes it was friday night.
Saturday was a beautiful day as we started it around noon and then went walking around lake padden, followed by some driving around Bellingham and then eventually ending up at the bald eagle park... unfortunately the eagles had a prior engagement that day and couldnt make our visit.
Sunday was filled with a new adventure for all of us. at only $15 bucks a person, we found ourselves parked on a ferry heading for local San Juan Island. once we drove off the ferry we we're lucky enough to talk to a lady at the visitor center which seemed to know less about island travel than timber, and believe me timber doesnt know that much. she means well but just doesnt retain the info.
San Juan Island was a very beautiful place to visit, just about every farm seemed to have some sort of pond or lake on it's property. from many places on the island you can see mt. baker and other local islands, and it was just a perfectly sunny day.
Touring the island by vehicle proved worthy as we came across some food strewn about the ground on a grass field next to the road with about 6 bald eagles hovering and perching in the area around. we we're able to stop for a while and watch them move from tree to tree. Caleb had one land on his head and scratch him bad and we thought it was funny and timber giggled a little too although caleb wasnt happy because he was wearing a hat and the bird wanted his hat so caleb got his hat back it was funny.

We visited a couple of these structures, some sort of shooting lazer beam for anti-aircraft, built in the early 1800's... needless to say it was pretty cool.

can you find the third one?

Caleb, sky, ocean, land, and a sense of curiousity

the more pictures of rachel the better

Challenge Course

Well.... it's official... some what.

I had a meeting last night with the board for Bryce Creek campgrounds and i gave a presentation for the building of a challenge course. which i am happy to say that they loved the idea and are going to move forward with it.

Thank you for all your prayers, I am really excited to see what God has for us in the next few months.

Please continue to keep it in your prayers as there are alot of little details that need to be figured out and for the future of the course and the camp, that we can see alot of youth and adults come through it this year and help grow the camp into something only God can invision.
