Homemade

Being married into a talented family has some awesome perks. Jon and Julie made us a kitchen table, Heidi has made me a sweet sweater, and Amy makes the cutest earrings and Judi has made me scarfs, which really come in handy when it is 20 degrees outside.
Not too long ago Heidi and Caleb came to visit us, and when they came, they came bearing presents. Heidi made me a great blue beanie and also brought a home made blanket from my mother-in-law. About 3 months ago I made sure it to let her know that I had yet to receive a home made afghan. And being the wonderful person she is, she made me one. Here are some pictures

And just so its clear, my family is talented too, just not it this area.

Birthday #28

cungrajewlayshuns to me, i didnt think i would live this long. but since i have i expect all of you to celebrate. My birthday is on april 3rd, which i am sure all of you already knew...(billy)
Though i know some of you have and are going to ask me what i would like , and i think i have decided that REI gift cards would be fantastic this year. the summer season is approaching and with my new job i will be working 4/10's so i will have fri, sat, sun off to explore and what better way to be prepared than some trips to REI.
Oh yes for those of you that dont know i do have a new job. I will be doing grounds maintenance for the next season at some local company properties. i get to drive a massive lawn mower around most of the day outiside and i am actually pretty excited about it.
The Bryce creek campground has decided that they want to do a further evaluation of the future of the camp and plan out a master plan. which is a good thing but in the meantime i needed a job and was presented this from one of the board members which is another way God has worked in this life transformation of ours.

For Heather

This post if for my friend Heather who is planning on moving up to the wonderful state of Washington with her soon to be husband. There are very few actual websites for apartments in Lynden, so now she can get an idea of what she is getting herself into.
And for everyone else this is our place!
No post would be complete without a picture of Timber.
This is our bedroom

The dungeon as I like to call it. Our second room upstairs that has all of our stuff.

The living room. Complete with Jennas computer with which we watch tv since on Tuesday night our tv decided to break.

And last but not least our kitchen with Jenna starting to cook us dinner at 9 in the morning.
There is one more bedroom downstairs which is our guest bedroom but since it was not in the best condition I decided to leave that picture out. We also have 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, a linen closet, and storage out by our parking space.

What a Tuesday

I told myself if I did not feel better today (from that wonderful car incident my husband and I had) that I was going to go to the doctors. So off I went to St. Josephs urgent care where I waited not too long to see a doctor. And by the end of the visit I had; prescriptions painkillers for my whiplash, which the doc suggested I wear a neck brace (which I declined), a note off from work for another day (even though he suggested I stay home this whole week) and another note saying I was not allowed to lift more than 5 lbs for 10 days, and anti-biotics for the pneumonia he informed me I have.

Then I was off to the insurance company to talk about my claim, and then got the final word that our wonderful Saturn is totalled. Its problems consisted of but not limited to - airbags, front body frame, air-conditioning, radiator, glass, tire, headlights and some other parts. But the good news is we are getting some money back! David has already started the search for a new car, which hopefully this time last us longer than 14 months.

Then as my cousin Jenna and I watched a movie (for those of you who didn't already know my cousin has moved in with us) I got a phone call from my boss saying that I was not allowed to step foot back at my work until I was medically cleared of all restrictions. Basically meaning I cant go to work for the next 1-2 weeks.
And I think that about covers it.
Whiplash, pneumonia, painkillers, totalled car, insurance settlement, and no work. And that is how I spent my Tuesday and it is only 5 pm.

dent resistant my...

Well, after forgetting to set our clocks forward and then missing church, Rachel and I decided to head out for donuts and quiet time at our local lake padden. After searching for a donut shop for an hour and not finding one we knew it was going to be a good day.
after our experience at the lake we figured it was time to lollygag back home and prefer taking the scenic route home. on our venture north we seemed to go from sunshine to cloudy to hail to icy road.

had we been at this unfortunate spot about 10 min earlier or later we would've been fine, but since we we're able to make it right at this particular time when the hail had just dusted the road with a nice layer of ice and before other cars we're able to turn it into slush. I decided to see if i can loose traction and run into the local ditch... which i found i can.
from the right we slid towards this ditch and luckily enough only fell in at the last moment where the right side of the car hit the end of the ditch and then popped us out where we are parked now.

the airbags work, and timber freaked out.

oh yeah we're fine, rachel has a bit of a migrane and is sore but other than that i think we'll be alright.

OUR NEW BABY!!!!!...........niece

well she is 6 months old but i thought i would show how awesome she is, my brother is a big fan of siegfried and roy, you have to start them young.
little madeline here can do the head in the cat mouth trick like noboby else.
here she is creating a dominance over the cat as she dazzles it with the sweet fragrance of the dazzle flower while simultaniously poking it's face.... very difficult.
she's cute as a button isnt' she (more dazzling flower, very devoted)
see what i mean
the drool is most likely a Brown trait, my brother's wife...though pretty she does seem to drool alot.
